No more tears, so much joy.
This statement accurately describes what God does. It doesn't mean that we will never go through struggles again; it just means that through that trial, through those tears, God will produce joy--whether or not you feel it in the moment.
A few weeks ago, I was really going through a rough patch. I felt hurt and alone, and I would go to God in tears of frustration almost every night. I was overwhelmed with many things, many thoughts, and I just wanted this season to blow over.
This has not been the only time I have struggled, and it certainly won't be the last. But I want to make this statement: no matter how hard or how painful the season may be, there will be joy at the end of the tunnel.
It took me many days to trust God, to start letting things go and giving them to Him, but it freed me. I'm still walking through that season, but now I have joy because I trust that He is working it out for me.
Your situation may not make any sense, but there is always a purpose for it.
Ninth grade year was one of the hardest emotionally for me; but in the end, all those situations turned out for the good. I may not have recognized it at the time, but it was good!
That doesn't mean you should pretend you're okay. Cry to your hearts desire if you need to. But know and believe that God is working it out. God will never leave you; He will never abandon you. No matter how much it hurts, no matter how much pain you are in, put your trust in Him.
It's a process, giving God your problems and trusting Him with them. But in a situation that you can't control, that you can't change, give it to a God who is in control, who can change the situation.
And remember, no matter the result, God is still good.

"Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; He will neither fail you nor abandon you." ~ Deuteronomy 31:8
"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them." ~ Romans 8:28 NLT
*Note: I recommend reading Psalms 42 or Psalms 23. Those have definitely encouraged me in seasons that were rough, and I hope they encourage you as well. Don't neglect God in the time you need Him most. Read the Word, learn about God's love, and learn about His character. Remember that nothing can ever separate you from His love (Romans 8:35-39).
